OUR STUDENT’S STORY

“I’m Minh. I am a 6th-grade student, living in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam. When I study online with ESLAO class, I found this course extremely meaningful to me because Canadian teachers are wonderful, always giving comments and feedback on my work after each session. Though the class lasts for 90 minutes and meets twice a week, I have a lot of opportunity to practice English speaking, reading and writing skills. Assignments are posted in google classroom. Instruction videos are available to help with post-live class assignments and tutors are always ready to answer my questions. Each lesson is accompanied by a small game or fun activity.”

Nguyen Nhat Minh, Grade 6A11 – Nguyen Trai Secondary School – Uong Bi City – Quang Ninh Province

Class ESLAO

“ESL classes mainly focus on communication and interaction. Each lesson starts with one interesting short story which is famous literature work in Canada. During the class, we can practice discussing, reading, writing about the story. Studying English has never been such an easy game when we can learn through videos, make videos with teachers’ help. It’s amazing. It’s totally different from what we’ve done at school. Moreovere, at Liberal Arts School we gain meaningful lessons from stories and then we write stories ourselves.”

Le Gia Linh, Grade 5Q – Fansipan School – Thanh Hoa City – Thanh Hoa Province

Class ESLAO

“I join LAS because I want to study and live in Canada. Mr. Gustavo is a very caring person and he is extremely dedicated to his teaching. My experience at LAS has been very good. The courses are easy to follow thanks to the teachers’ methods and how they inspire in learning English. The videos in the lessons help with my learning. The feedback provided by the teachers certainly helps me get better grades. My parents are very happy that they made this choice with me.”

Nguyen Ngoc Diep, Grade 7A9 – Thanh Xuan Trung Secondary School – Hanoi

Class ESLAO

“I feel that the curriculum is very good. There are some good points such as each class is not too long, only about one and a half hour, and the teacher is very friendly and open. One limitation is that you have to learn via Zoom, so you cannot communicate face to face with the teacher. I also feel very happy to have the opportunity to talk with native speakers to practice my speaking skill. In general, this program is very suitable for practicing all listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.”
